Endowment Fund

Looking to the future, The Bix Society has established an Endowment Fund through the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend.

This was made possible through Society donations, and the generosity of several donors. Now, we seek contributions to build on the Fund so it will eventually provide on-going revenue. Visit the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend website at:

Almost Festival Time!

July 22nd – 25th, 2010

Mark your calendar, make your reservations and plan to meet us there!

Food, refreshments, souvenirs, tapes and CDs are available at the venues. The outdoor venue at LeClaire Park features a food court, an outstanding band shell, bust of Bix and historic plaques, water and restrooms, and a grandstand seat for action on the Mississippi River.

There will be nine of the nations top jazz bands alternating at the four venues throughout the festival. Also demonstrating their jazz proficiency will be members of the Bix Jazz Society Youth Band, carriers of the torch for the next generation.

Membership
Choosing of the membership levels the Society has available will help support our annual jazz festival, our Bix Youth Education Program, and fund special events throughout the year. All of the memberships are for one year and include receiving our Bix Notes newsletter, notice of special events, as well as discounts on festival tickets.

The Bix Society Mission

The mission of the Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Society is to perpetuate the music and memory of Leon "Bix" Beiderbecke through an annual jazz festival, jazz education programs, and the preservation of traditional jazz.
